2016 Household Hazardous Waste Day

The Divisions for Stormwater Management and Environmental Planning and Assistance fifth annual Household Hazardous Waste Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Greenwood High School from 8 am – 1 pm. The event provided Warren County residences the opportunity at no charge to dispose of old chemicals and other hazardous waste safely and without adverse environmental impacts.

Benefits of Proper Household Hazardous Waste Management

  • Reduction and recycling of HHW conserves resources and energy that would be expended in the production of more products.
  • Reuse of hazardous household products can save money and reduce the need for generating hazardous substances.
  • Proper disposal prevents pollution that could endanger human health and the environment.
