USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Funding Available
Are you interested in installing solar panels, replacing windows/doors, or updating the HVAC system for your small business or farm? If so, contact USDA Rural Development today to see if you qualify to receive a grant on eligible renewable energy or energy efficiency upgrades.
Kentucky has just over $2 million dollars in grant funds in 2015. The USDA Rural Development office is currently accepting applications. Funding provided by the 2014 Farm Bill will be combined for fiscal years 2014 and 2015 resulting in the largest single REAP solicitation to date. There will be two REAP grant funding cycles with deadlines of April 30 and June 30, 2015. 2015 KADF On-Farm Energy Program
The Kentucky Ag. Development Fund (KADF) also offers funding support. KADF offers a $10,000 grant (50% reimbursement not exceeding $10,000) for farmers who want to improve energy efficiency within their operations. The application and guidelines are available at ag-energy.ky.gov .
